Today I was unexpectedly watching an documentary about the newly launched exhibition of Picasso's work. It is very interesting to me because in the documentary the art critic mentioned how the Cubism originated and how Picasso felt about the city and life in the artists' cluster, Montmartre, Paris.

To Picasso, the period of time staying in Montmartre was "the Golden years". The cubism also was the product created by Picasso and other artists. The city to Picasso is full of the resource by the past masters. By reworking these work, he expressed his interpretation of them and injested his own ideas into it. Like it or not, he challenged himself all the times which is evident from the diversity of his styles and reflected the contemporary spirit when he examined the past and the tradition.

To me, agian, as Picasso described the golden ages in his life when he lived in a cluster of artists and the cubism was invented by a group of creative artists. This is another evidence that how a creative figure can advance in a creative milieu and how creativity works well among a collective synergy of diverse competence and ideas.
